LOGO DESIGN BY AUTOCAD

If you're an architectural designer, an Autocadd operator, or a draftsman, chances are you are exposed to AutoCAD most of the time. And because most of what you draft is done through this software, it is reasonable to say that to design a logo with it would come as twisted or inappropriate for lack of a word.  Most logos are preferably done best by graphic artists through CorelDraw or Aurora 3D at least for what I have observed within the design circles of fine arts majors, advertisers and graphic designers.

But AutoCAD still has that edge of performing the task if you prefer it.  To draft the logo just on 2D, meant that the 2D output could be used further and imported through 3dsMax or Sketchup.  It's like thinking ahead.  Just to have that 2d output would be a good first step or startup for a logo's design.

This exercise used the simplest commands possible.  The most basic ones: like Draw Line, Insert, Erase, Trim, Block and Hatch.  Unlike Photoshop, Logo Design by AutoCAD is much more graphic, and most editable. This took longer than expected though.

Steps and Procedures:
1. Open
2. Insert, Raster Image Reference
3. Specify Scale to 1000 and Insert
4. Trace and draw the lines and arcs
5. Move image reference
6. Trim to edit excess line segments
7. Block selected objects, the box and K logo
8. Draw the hatch with solid blue and white
9. Save and you're done
